Having played a vast array of sports all my life (ranging from ballet to boxing and triathlon to powerlifting), my passion for fitness started from a young age.
Despite this, my student years saw me fighting a losing battle with my weight, and it was only when I started to learn a little more about training and nutrition that I was able to turn the tide.
As somebody who used to believe that weight training would make me look like a 'she-hulk', it was quite the revelation when I ventured into the free weights area and learnt that resistance training would contribute to me feeling leaner, stronger and healthier.
Fast forward a few years and I am a competitive powerlifter, having represented my country on numerous occasions and am a British record holder. It gives me great pleasure to teach my clients how incorporating weight training into their lives can help prevent injuries and achieve their goals, regardless of age, gender and ability levels.
I combine my knowledge as a sports massage therapist with my experience in the gym to create a programme based upon your individual movement screen and consultation so that we can work together to find a plan that is sustainable for you.
